GOFAMINT NA HOD Information Technology

Role Summary

  1. Serve as the Head of Department for Information Technology and Media in GOFAMINT NA.
  2. Be mentored by the outgoing Head of Department to learn all the aspects of this role.
  3. Execute the 36-month National Technology and Media Strategic Plan for GOFAMINT NA.
  4. Provide strategic direction to the national leadership at the National Executive Board (NEB) leadership on leveraging current and new technology to, align with, and support the national leadership’s vision, mission, core values and strategic goals.
  5. Develop ministry objectives and goals in alignment with the national leadership's vision and goals.
  6. Develop and implement strategy for organizing and executing information technology functions to meet needs and requirements.
  7. Direct the support of existing technology solutions, and the development and adoption of new technology solutions.
  8. Lead and empower the national information technology team.

Responsibilities

  1. Research, evaluate, encourage and facilitate the adoption of current and new technologies at the national level such as: communication, administration, finance, and events, etc.
  2. Support national programs and events: Support all information technology needs for programs and events hosted nationally to include the National Convention, GIT and GVL Conferences.
  3. Serve as a member of the Convention Planning Committee as the Information Technology Lead.
  4. Lead the execution of national information technology projects and services such as evaluating, selecting, and implementing a Church Management System (e.g. Ekklesia e360 ChMS, PushPay, ACS Realm, Subsplash One, etc); evaluating, selecting, and implementing a Learning Management System (e.g. Populi, Google Classroom, Moodle, etc.).
  5. Help decide and implement cool projects such as GOFAMINT NA App, Pastors’ Portal, and a Volunteer Management System.
  6. Lead the execution of local assembly-focused projects and services (e.g. church website & email systems)
  7. Provide national guidance, education, and training to local assemblies and national departments/ministries.
  8. Engage and manage external vendors for events and projects.
  9. Recruit and manage out-sourced roles (e.g. hire a team of admins, designers, developers, etc.).
  10. Schedule periodic tech forums with local assembly HODs.
  11. Develop and document internal processes (you make rules!).
  12. Develop annual information technology budgets (ask for money!).
  13. Prepare and present an end-of-year departmental report to the NEB.
  14. Prepare end-of-year departmental revenue and expense reports.

Accountable to

Associate National Overseer.

Term

3 years renewable once.

Time Commitment

Part time: 5-8 hours per week.

Expectations

  1. Develop meaningful relationships with all stakeholders including other ministry/department leaders and HODs at local assemblies.
  2. Communicate and collaborate with various stakeholders such as national Heads of Departments and ministry leaders.
  3. Consistently care for and pray for the wellbeing of all department members.
  4. Actively contribute to the holistic development of all department members.
  5. Set time apart to pray for the ministry and the work.

Qualifications

  1. Must be a member of the Gospel Faith Mission International, North America and the local assembly.
  2. Must be a member of an exemplary character, filled with the Holy Spirit.
  3. Must have sound financial integrity (1 Samuel 12:1-3; Acts 20:33; 1 Timothy 6:6-10).
  4. Must demonstrate a high degree of loyalty to the Parent Mission.
  5. Must be competent across a wide variety of technologies in IT.
  6. Should possess ministerial and administrative abilities relevant to his/her office.
  7. Should possess a high-level, basic understanding of information technology being used to meet business objectives.
  8. Should have related work experience.

Education

Preferred: Associates, bachelor’s or master's degree in an area of Information Technology, science or another relevant field (Individuals currently enrolled in the above degrees will also be considered).

  2. Ability to apply critical thinking and problem-solving techniques

Experience

Preferred

  • Experience leading information technology at a local assembly is very much preferred and highly desired.
  • Experience leading IT projects across industries and within the church.
  • Experience using various project or task management tools.
  • Experience using meeting schedulers and communication tools like Calendly and Zoom.
  • Hands-on experience with various cloud-based business platforms and applications.
  • Experience presenting technical information to business and church leaders.
  • Experience using cloud-based productivity suites for collaboration.
  • Experience with software, hardware and network technologies.
  • Experience with data and statistical analysis, and presentation.
